My love for the Spanish language began in high school but I didn't become truly bilingual until I moved to Venezuela in 2001. Between then and now, I have been part of mission trips to Spanish-speaking countries, taught ESL classes, and worked in bilingual positions.
Working for Lighthouse Interpreters allows me to help others overcome their language barriers.

I became fluent in Spanish during my time living and teaching in Venezuela many years ago. Later, I was tenured faculty in English and ESL at a California community college. I relocated to East Tennessee to be near family and in 2020 and took a medical interpreter training course. I find it very fulfilling to work as a medical interpreter.
